Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is a 1920's 10 inch, pair of jazz saxophone rhythms. Record #A2925. Grades at VG, due to two deep scratches on the A side preventing a VG+ rating. Overall, modest playwear. No chips, skips or cracks.

Side 78980 features the Columbia Saxophone Sextette with, "Frogs' Legs"

Side 78981 lists, "La Veeda", again with the Columbia Saxophone Sextette.
