Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a circa 1917, pair of jazzy dance tempos! This record has a mostly clear sound but some background hiss should be expected. Both sides show some light scuffs and scratches but no chips, skips or cracks.
Side 78588 presents a One-Step of "Hello, Hello!", and side 78692 lists the fox trot "I Ain't Gonna Give Nobody None Of This Jellyroll". These great sounds are brought to you by Wilbur Sweatman's Original Jazz Band!
