Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1919 10 inch, pair of vocal recordings. Record #A2668. Overall, this record is clean, with minimal scratches on general playwear, and the usual hiss is to be expected, though for its age still plays exceptionally clear. A faint hairline crack is starting to show but does NOT, as yet, affect the play or cause any skips.
Side 78154 presents the Sterling Trio with, "Dreaming Of Home, Sweet Home", with orchestra.
Side 78159 offers a tenor duet with (Albert) Campbell and (Henry) Burr, "Till We Meet Again", with orchestra.
