Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1919 10 inch, pair of male vocal recordings. Record #A2661. Numerous light scuffs and scratches will cause some background hiss and pop. No serious damage. We grade at VG. No cracks, skips or chips.
Side 77998 features the Sterling Trio with, "In The Shadow Of The Desert Palm", with orchestra.
Side 78015 offers a tenor duet with (Albert) Campbell and (Henry) Burr, "Hindustan", with orchestra.
