Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1920's, 10 inch recording, featuring the tenor voices of Carl McCullough and Henry Burr with orchestra accompaniment.
Overall, this record is mostly clean, and sounds very good for its age, but some background hiss and faint scratches are to be expected along with light wear. No chips, cracks, or skips.
Side 47407 presents "There Are Two Eyes In Dixie". Side 47453 presents "Mister Butterfly".
