Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here are fox trot dance recordings from the 1930's. In superbly clean condition with lots of gloss, and looks almost NEW with few scratches, and no skips, cracks or chips. Minimal background hiss for a clear and faultless sound!
Side 140969 presents "By The Waters Of Minnetonka", and side 140971, "Peaceful Valley". Great toe-tapping sounds! Both are performed by Art Kahn and his Orchestra.
