Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here are a pair of waltzes recorded in the 1920's. In superbly clean condition with lots of gloss, and looks almost NEW with few signs it was ever played. Virtually no background hiss for a clear and nearly perfect sound!
Side 140769 features "Day Dreaming", and side 140770 offers, "Funny". Fabulous easy listening dance rhythms! Both are performed by the waltz artists, The Cavaliers.
