Seller's Description
Here's Frankie Laine, a clarion voiced pop singer with lots of style, able to fill halls without a microphone, and one of the biggest hit-makers of late 1940's to early 1950s, Laine had more than 70 charted records, 21 gold records, and worldwide sales of about 260 million disks. Originally a rhythm and blues influenced jazz singer, Laine excelled at virtually every music style, eventually expanding to such varied genres as popular standards, gospel, folk, country, western/Americana, rock 'n' roll, and the occasional novelty number. He is known as Mr Rhythm for his driving jazzy style. His recent passing is noted below:

Offered here is a mostly clean and decent sounding easy listening sound on record #39979. General play wear overall, with moderate scratches, scuffs and some label wear. A fair amount of gloss remains. No cracks or skips, and the one tiny edge chip does NOT affect the play.
Side HCO 10113 presents vocal & Paul Weston orchestral arrangement of "Ramblin' Man", and side CO 47500 offers vocal & Jimmy Carroll orchestral arrangement of, "I Let Her Go". Each is vocalized by Frankie Laine, with orchestral accompaniment, and Carl Fischer at the piano.
