Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in superb condition! Grading at near-mint with little visible playwear. Exceptionally clean and glossy - with a sound to match! Only incidental scuff and scratch marks will be seen.
Side CO 45147 features the melody, "Mixed Emotions", and side CO 45631 plays the favorite of, "Kentucky Waltz". Both melodies are sung by the memorable voice of Rosemary Clooney with the Percy Faith Orchestra, and are 1940's era memories!
