Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in superb condition! Grading as excellent (just shy of near-mint) and gently played with virtually no playwear.
Side CO 38245 features the fox trot, "Grieving For You", with a vocal chorus by Rosemary Clooney, and side CO 38598 plays the melody, "Saturday Night Mood". Both fox trots are performed by the fabulous Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are OUTSTANDING 1940's Big Band sounds!
