Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in fine condition! Grading as excellent and gently played with just moderate wear of incidental scratch and scuff marks.
Side HCO 2359 features the fox trot, "I'm Sorry I Didn't Say I'm Sorry", with a vocal chorus by Tony Pastor and Rose Mary Clooney, and side HCO 2360 plays the melody, "The Lady From Twenty-Nine Palms". Both fox trots are performed by the fabulous Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are OUTSTANDING 1940's Big Band sounds!
