1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here are the Big Band sounds of the 1940's with the FABULOUS Benny Goodman Orchestra, and the Goodman Trio.
Side CO34646 presents "Gotta Be This Or That" - Part 1, and side CO34647 lists, "Gotta Be This Or That" - Part 2. In very good shape with a lot of gloss showing. No cracks, skips, or chips. Only nominal scuffs and scratches. You'll be pleased to have this in your collection!
