Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

From the mid-1940's, this recording has been well preserved. In excellent condition, - almost near-mint state! Squeeky clean and faultless sound. Just a couple of faint scratch and scuff marks..

Side C99-1 offers, "Smiles", and side C99-2 features the melody, "Dear Old Pal Of Mine".

These vocals are sung by Buddy Clark, with Hammond Organ accompaniment.
