Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is an mostly clean and decent sounding pair of 1940's Harry James Orchestra fox trot arrangements.

Side CO 29422 presents "Flatbush Flanagan", a fox trot that will get you dancing, and side CO 30195, "I'll Get By" (As Long As I Have You), featuring a Dick Haymes vocal chorus. Some surface wear and light scratches will be found, but nothing that prevents the enjoyment of the play. No breaks, cracks, skips, or chips.
