Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a clean and rich sounding pair of 1940's Harry James Orchestra fox trot arrangements.
Side CO 31410 presents "My Melancholy Baby", a jazz masterwork from "Birth Of The Blues" that will get you boogeying. Side CO 30510 lists, "My Silent Love", featuring a vocal by Dick Haymes.
Minimal surface wear and faint scratches will be found, but nothing that prevents the enjoyment of the play. No breaks, cracks, skips, or chips.
