Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here are the jazz tempos from the 1940's with the always popular Harry James and His Orchestra.

Side B22252 presents "One O'Clock Jump", and side BW24194 lists, "Two O'Clock Jump". If these rhythms don't make you feel like dancing, you need to have your pulse taken. Very good condition with a lot of glossy sheen. No cracks, skips, or chips. Just moderate scuffs and scratches. You'll be pleased to have this in your collection!
