Seller's Description
An early to mid-1940s Columbia recording from "Little" Jimmie Dickens. Dickens is the master of the country novelty song, as well as a renowned ballad singer. He's also known for his diminutive stature -- he's less than five feet tall -- and his affection for flamboyant, rhinestone-studded outfits and country humor. Although he never had a consistent presence on the charts, he managed to have hits in every decade between the 1940s and the 1970s, and he became one of the Grand Ole Opry's most popular performers. Here's one of his earliest recordings.

Offered here is a fairly clean and fair sounding pair of country novelty vocals. Moderate background hiss, numerous light scuffs and scratches are to be expected, and an edge crack has formed that will impair the play of the first 6 or 7 grooves and will sound when the needle passes over. With care, it's possible to play without skips.
Side CO 42854 presents "If It Ain't One Thing It's Another". Side CO 42855 lists, "F-O-O-L-I-S-H M-E ME".
