Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is one of the new "electrical process" Viva-tonal recordings from the late 1920's. In fairly good condition with moderate scuffs and scratches but a decent remaining audio. Some label wear and small hairline cracks are just beginning to show, so we will use extra care in packaging.

Side 144198 presents Part 3 of "Two Black Crows", and side 144467, Part 4 of "Two Black Crows", both from the comedy team of Moran and Mack.
