Original 8 1/2 inch x 6 5/8 inch Black and White Still for the 1943 Jack Lee Crown Film Unit Documentary CLOSE QUARTERS, produced by Ian Dalrymple.
”A British submarine goes out from its base ship to patrol off Norway. For a fortnight nothing of importance happens. Then it fights a night gun duel with a U-boat, sinking it but receiving damage which keeps the British submarine on the surface after dawn. A German 'plane attacks, but the submarine dives just in time to avoid the bombs. Then on the last day of patrol the submarine sights and sinks a floating dock, and, after harrowing waiting through heavy depth-charge attacks, returns to base.”
