Seller's Description
This is a very old unused colour postcard of The Carmel Mission, near Monterey in California, USA. The card states that it is copyright 1903 by Detroit Photographic Company and further proof of the age of the card is seen on the reverse where it asks for postage of 1c for USA and Canada and 2c foreign. The card is numbered 6437 and for a 100+ year old card it is in good condition. There is a half-moon marking on the reverse almost as if the card has been used to sit a coffee cup on, but the front is almost entirely unmarked from this. There is a tiny nick in the margin right at the foot of the card and slight scuffing at some corners & edges.
