Seller's Description
One of the earliest Cameo labels, introduced in 1922 and sold for 50 cents. A high percentage of Cameo recordings have fairly good hot music and a wealth of jazz dance music. You'll enjoy the music on these two spiritual recordings as they show moderate playwear and are clean on both sides! The "Deep River" side does have a big chip on the edge which prevents playing the first 5 or 6 grooves, but the rest of the music plays without fault. No cracks or skips.
Side 929 presents "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot", and side 930 lists, "Deep River", both vocalized by the University Singers male quartette, which I believe are from Fisk University, but I'm not certain.
