a vintage well made well detailed hard metal old pattern cap badge of this War Department administered Police Service. approx 2" by 1.75" with lug type fittings on reverse. an unusual item made from bronze or a bronze toned brass metal. possibly a manufacturers sample test piece or prototype. not aware of this type actually being worn. Post 1952 pattern crown of Queen Elizabeth II at top. nb. Overseas Buyers.
