a well made and fairly well detailed old brass metal copy Victorian Helmet Plate of this former Regiment ; the Duke of Lancaster's Corps of Yeomanry Cavalry which became the Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry. Most likely a 1970s made item with wear and the loops to the lug fittings have been removed. ideal for mounting.. approx. 5" by 3.7" with crown of Queen Victoria at top. a darker more coppery tone than the pictures suggest. nb.
