Original 1798 8 7/8 inch x 7 1/8 inch Etching and Engraving titled BRECKNOCK

View of Brecknock from the river, with four women washing linen in foreground at left, a fifth walking away with a basket on her head and a sixth cradling a baby; trees and bridge behind, houses and ruin on the opposite bank.
From ‘The Copper-Plate Magazine or Elegant Cabinet of Picturesque Prints Consisting of Sublime and Interesting Views in Great Britain and Ireland Beautifully Engraved by the Most Eminent Artists from the Paintings and Drawings of the Masters’ - Vol. 4.

Print by James Sargant Storer (1791 - 1876). Storer devoted himself to the production of works on topography and ancient architecture.

After George Samuel (active 1785 - 1823). Samuel was an English landscape-painter, working in both in oils and watercolours. He was a noted topographical draughtsman of his day.
