Seller's Description
Bluebird record #10669. Another of the popular big band sounds from the 30's and 40's. Influenced by Duke Ellington, Charlie Barnett's biggest hit was "Cherokee". Nicknamed "Mad Mab", Barnet was a champion of racial equality at a time when many bands were segregated.

This late 1930's recording is in decent condition. Showing a high percentage of remaining gloss and general playwear with multiple light scratches. No cracks, chips,or skips.
Side 10669-A presents, "Where Was I?", from the Warner Bros. film "Till We Meet Again". Side 10669-B shows, "Deed I Do". Both fox trots are performed by Charlie Barnet and his Orchestra, and feature vocals by Mary Ann McCall, who possessed a blues tinged voice and great timing brought to the bandstand. FABULOUS 1940's Big Band sounds!
