These are natural, mined stones. They HAVE been heat treated to help bring out the star, but the result is, they have a really good clean star. I'm really pleased with the results, and will be offering this stone in several of our nicer ring. In plain English, this is simply a very pretty stone, and it's well mounted in this Sterling Silver ring. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it. Two accent CZ's, one one either side, help to highlight the center stone, without being flashy about it. Good for the office, for the evening, or just because. This ring just looks great! ____________________________________________________________________ BTW, Since we make this from scratch after you order it, we have a lot of flexibility. We can also cast this in yellow, white or rose gold, and in any of 10k, 14k, or 18k.
