Overall condition is acceptable. The dust jacket has considerable wear but fortunately, the previous owner encased it within a crystal clear Mylar book cover to preserve it from further deterioration. The book itself has a stain on the front cover and a smaller one on the back. This was a gift as the gift giver's name is written in pencil on the first page along with the gift receiver. There is also a price in the upper right corner of the first page, also in pencil. The interior pages have discolored with age. As a note, I have claimed this as a second printing as in the information it states the Triangle Books edition was published in October 1939 and below it, it says "Reprinted August 1939". Typically, if the book was reprinted by another company prior to Triangle Books, it would be above. If this is the case, then this would be a first edition by Triangle Books and a misprint with the "Reprinted August 1939" in the wrong location. Otherwise, the book is a second printing and there is a typographical error in the reprint month and/or date.
