Vintage 1969 Barbie & Stacey Sleep n Keep Case

Copyright 1969 Mattel as noted in the bottom left corner.

The case is about 17 inches long, 15 inches wide and 5 inches thick.

The outside front of the case has a yellow background with white flowers.  A floral wreath surrounds a drawing of Barbie and Stacey.  Stacey, on the left, has brown hair held back with a fuchsia bow.  She wears a ruffled fuchsia shirt and a green jacket and mini skirt.  She has on fuchsia fishnet tights and black flat heeled shoes.  Barbie on the right, has blond hair topped with a green bow on top.  She has on a green blouse, blue mini skirt, black tights and blue and black striped shoes.

The back of the case is white.

A black plastic handle is on the top of the case.  A silver clasp on the left side of the case holds the case closed.

The left side of the interior opens to an open closet with metal hanging rod and two lower cupboards.  Space on either side is to store two Barbie (or Barbie and Stacey) dolls, not included.

The closet, or wardrobe, is made from heavy blue cardstock.  A metal rod is fixed to the top with metal rivets and rivets hold the other components together.  The bottom of the wardrobe is has two pink vinyl doors which are held closed by a brass colored metal fastener.  Brass metal decorations are on each corner of the vinyl doors.  The interior of the cupboards are circular in shape - modern 1960s styling.

One actual orange hanger hangs from the clothes rod.

The blue cardstock is bowed on the sides, creased on the left side and is edgeworn.

The right side has a blue background held in place with a brass colored closure.  When opened it drops down into two twin beds, made of hot pink vinyl and decorated with black details.  The bed on the right has a heart shaped pillow done in black, the bed on the left has a triangular pillow and a round pillow both done in black. An orange table is between the two beds and there is a mirror and comb on the top.

The backdrop above the beds, has pink and orange swag curtains, tied with black ribbon.  A wall clock and three pieces of artwork decorate the white wall.  White and black headboards, orange end tables, one with a flower vase, complete the decor.

The outside of the case has soil.  The top right corner and bottom right corner both have tears to the vinyl.

The inside of the case has some wear.  There are tiny tears in the vinyl on the top and bottom of the interior right wide of the case.  There is a separation of the vinyl on the interior bottom corner of the case.

Shipping includes USPS tracking where available.

All shipments are subject to US Postal Service regulations.

When we ship the item, you will receive a message with shipping information and USPS Tracking Number (where applicable.)

Please visit www.usps.com to check the tracking of your package for shipments within the United States.  End to end tracking is not available for most shipments outside the United States.

GIFTS:

Please let us know if you’re sending a gift, because we will be including a receipt with the price of the item.  You may not want us to include the receipt.  We’re happy to include our gift card (at no cost) or your note or message (also at no cost.)  We will not send anonymous gifts.

Occasionally, we have questions after your purchase.  Sometimes we need to confirm a shipping address.  If we have questions, we will contact you through eBid’s messaging system. Please check your eBid Messages and your email or shipment of your item may be delayed.  It is possible that your purchase may be cancelled if we don’t hear back from you.

 

BUYERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES - PLEASE NOTE:

Receipt of your item may be delayed if it has to go through custom inspection in your country.  Occasionally, this adds days or weeks to delivery.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.

We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and international laws.

During peak shipping times, it may take weeks to have your item clear customs.  We’ve had some items arrive in Europe in a week, but a package to South America once took six weeks to arrive!  Again, you’ll have to check with the customs office in your country if your item hasn’t been received.

Restrictions in your country may not allow us to ship certain items. 

Many countries do not allow shipments of coins or precious metals, for example.  Some media, including computer software, music CDs or DVDs may be restricted for sale outside the United States.

VHS and DVDs are formatted differently for different countries.

If you are purchasing a VHS videotape, please note the format your machine requires before you make your purchase.  Most of our tapes are NTSC format (it is specified in the listing what the format is) which will not work in most video players in Europe and Australia.  We routinely contact anyone overseas who purchases a VHS video to ask them to check if their machine can play an NTSC tape before we ship. 

Many DVDs also have a specific format by country.  If you are purchasing a DVD, please make sure the DVD is a format that will play in your machine.

We’ve found our “stolen” photographs and text on other e-commerce websites many times.  In order to help reduce fraud and image theft, you’ll notice that most of our photographs have our logo or other label appearing on each image which obscures a small part of the item. 

It is possible that anyone who uses stolen images or text may not even have the item they are trying to sell and that their intention is to defraud you.  We don’t want anyone to use our images or text to try and sell you something they don’t have.
