Barbie My First Dictionary Interactive Electronic Book

Wide 4to size pictorial hardcover with integrated plastic panel with audio component and attached pen-touch wand; 56 color and photo illustrated pages show 500 words from Above to Zebra.  Photographs of Barbie illustrate many of the entries.

The integrated fuchsia colored plastic panel has a design of flowers at the top, Barbie's logo at the bottom and there is a round pie-shaped design which is the audio speaker in the center.  The lavender colored pen-touch wand is attached by a white cord and when not in use, fits into it's own compartment on the side of the plastic panel. A section of the cord tucked into the plastic panel leaving a section of cord that can be placed around the back or front.

Unit uses 3 AA batteries (included) which are "locked" in a battery drawer.  You'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver (not included) to open and close the compartment and replace the batteries when required.

There is an On/Off switch and a Volume Control.

The User turns on the unit and presses the pen-touch wand to a circle marked with the page numbers.  The book reads the page numbers and the user places the wand on a picture or photograph to be defined.  The book reads the word's definition.

There is some handling wear with some light bumps and scratches.  The way the book is designed the plastic panel is raised in the back about an inch from the edge of the page which creates a slight pressure mark on the pages in the back of the book.

Shipping includes USPS tracking where available.

All shipments are subject to US Postal Service regulations.

When we ship the item, you will receive a message with shipping information and USPS Tracking Number (where applicable.)

Please visit www.usps.com to check the tracking of your package for shipments within the United States.  End to end tracking is not available for most shipments outside the United States.

GIFTS:

Please let us know if you’re sending a gift, because we will be including a receipt with the price of the item.  You may not want us to include the receipt.  We’re happy to include our gift card (at no cost) or your note or message (also at no cost.)  We will not send anonymous gifts.

CONTACTING YOU AFTER YOUR PURCHASE:

Occasionally, we have questions after your purchase.  Sometimes we need to confirm a shipping address.  If we have questions, we will contact you through ebid’s messaging system. Please check your ebid Messages and your email or shipment of your item may be delayed.  It is possible that your purchase may be cancelled if we don’t hear back from you.

 

BUYERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES - PLEASE NOTE:

Receipt of your item may be delayed if it has to go through custom inspection in your country.  Occasionally, this adds days or weeks to delivery.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.

We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and international laws.

During peak shipping times, it may take weeks to have your item clear customs.  We’ve had some items arrive in Europe in a week, but a package to South America once took six weeks to arrive!  Again, you’ll have to check with the customs office in your country if your item hasn’t been received.

Restrictions in your country may not allow us to ship certain items. 

Many countries do not allow shipments of coins or precious metals, for example.  Some media, including computer software, music CDs or DVDs may be restricted for sale outside the United States.

VHS and DVDs are formatted differently for different countries.

If you are purchasing a VHS videotape, please note the format your machine requires before you make your purchase.  Most of our tapes are NTSC format (it is specified in the listing what the format is) which will not work in most video players in Europe and Australia.  We routinely contact anyone overseas who purchases a VHS video to ask them to check if their machine can play an NTSC tape before we ship. 

Many DVDs also have a specific format by country.  If you are purchasing a DVD, please make sure the DVD is a format that will play in your machine.

We’ve found our “stolen” photographs and text on other e-commerce websites many times.  In order to help reduce fraud and image theft, you’ll notice that most of our photographs have our logo or other label appearing on each image which obscures a small part of the item. 

It is possible that anyone who uses stolen images or text may not even have the item they are trying to sell and that their intention is to defraud you.  We don’t want anyone to use our images or text to try and sell you something they don’t have. 

Please be savvy and safe while shopping online.  Your local public library should be able to help you find great resources to protect yourself and your family while shopping online.
