Original 1840 9 1/8 inch x 6 inch Etching and Engraving titled AZIM AND SHIREEN
Azim and Shireen; an oriental couple sitting in terrace, looking at each other, a garden behind with fountain on the right, pipe and swords on the ground beside them.
Engraved by Robert Staines (1805 - 1849).
From the portrait by Daniel Maclise RA (1806 - 1870). Draughtsman on wood, lithographer, etcher and history painter.
Published on October 1st, 1840, by Longman & Co., Paternoster Row, London
The engraving is in very good condition with slight age-related toning. Reverse side blank.
