12inch x 18inch Poster A rail poster showing a train being loaded with coal by overhead dumpers in England. It reads, The electrical plant on the LNER automatically coals "The Flying Scotsman" in six minutes. The LNER was one of the "Big Four" Railway Companies formed during the 1923 Grouping Act in Britain. As such it barely lasted 25 years, but in this time left a prestigious mark in British railway history. Even today, the LNER's Gresley Pacifics are synonymous with speed and luxury. This is one of the posters advertising the railway company. Created by Frank Newbould, (24 September 1887 ?? 1951) an English poster artist, born in Bradford. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct.
