Seller's Description

Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1951 Léo Joannon Comedy ATOLL K (UTOPIA)(ROBINSON CRUSOELAND) starring Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Suzy Delair, Max Elloy, Suzet Mais, Felix Oudart, Robert Murzeau, Robert Vattier, Michel Dalmatof, Andre Randall and Adriano Rimoldi.

Laurel and Hardy’s unfairly dismissed last film in which they inherit a boat, get ship-wrecked and heave to on an atoll. All’s hunky dory till uranium’s found and adventurers arrive to fight for it. Brave, sometimes charming, occasionally funny attempt at a political satire, with whimsy and wit replacing their old slapstick.

Poster art by Pierre Pigeot

The poster is in very good folded condition with slight separation at the bottom end of the left vertical fold.
