Detailed Condtion : Please read condition notes in description! Has several small chips on the rim, crazing throughout, missing gold leaf from design on ends
This oval Dresden dish is NOT in the best of shape but its obvious age makes it an interesting piece. It is cream or white with a delicate pale green, blue and yellow floral pattern. It looks like there were gold swirls on the ends at one time but they are now mostly rubbed off. There are several (about five) small chips on the rim and a 3/4" crack line that cannot be felt extending from the rim on the back. The dish shows some darkening from age and fine crazing top and bottom.

There is a very old mark on the back. I have not been able to find any information about it but it's a world design with DRESDEN in the center. The dish measures about 8-1/4" x 5-1/4" x 1-1/2". My best guess as to age is early 20th century. It could have been used as a butter dish or for condiments. Today, it would make a wonderful dresser dish or addition to shabby chic decor!
