Original 1878 8 1/2 inch x 9 3/8 inch engraving titled ANGEL OF THE RESURRECTION

In the Congregational Chapel at Saltaire, near Bradford, Yorkshire is a family vault, or mausoleum, having the reputation of being among the finest examples of monumental architecture in that part of the country. Its form is quadrilateral, and three sides of it are filled with sculptured designs by John Adams-Acton, the principal one being ‘The Angel of the Resurrection’.

Engraved by William Callio Roffe (1817 - 1894 or after). Engraver, typically after the work of sculptors.

From the sculpture by John Adams-Acton (1830 - 1910). A British sculptor.

Published in the Art Journal by J.S. Virtue & Co. Ltd., London.
