Original Spanish 1982 Re-Release 27 inch x 40 inch Poster for the 1945 George Sidney Musical ANCHORS AWEIGH starring Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Kathryn Grayson, Jose Iturbi, Dean Stockwell, Pamela Britton, 'Rags' Ragland, Billy Gilbert and Henry O'Neill.
Two sailors, Joe and Clarence have four days shore leave in spend their shore leave trying to get a girl for Clarence. Clarence has his eye on a girl with musical aspirations, and before Joe can stop him, promises to get her an audition with José Iturbi. But the trouble really starts when Joe realizes he’s falling for his buddy’s girl..
Poster art by Macario Gómez Quibus (1926 - 2018). Known by the professional nickname of Mac, he was a Spanish film poster artist and designer known for his work for some of the best known films of the 20th Century including posters for “Doctor Zhivago” (1965), “For a Few Dollars More” (1965), “The Ten Commandments” (1956), “Some Like It Hot” (1959), “Psycho” (1960) and “Dr. No” (1962).
