An Introduction to Music: Selected Readings/Rev Ed - novice to advanced musician

From the Forward:  These readings were prepared as a part of the Introduction to Music course . . . at Brooklyn College . . . [They] are intended to give the student an awareness of styles from the Baroque era to the present [1964]. Since neither a prior musical background nor ability to read music is assumed, references to specific works have been kept to a minimum and no musical examples have been included. The readings incorporate general summaries of the styles and selections from original sources.

Over the next few months, I will continue listing a large number of scores for orchestra, string orchestra, wind band, and chamber ensembles that I collected over my 40-year conducting career.
