Amethyst: Faceted Round, Pale Purple with Concave Pavilion Cuts; 4.6 cts; Brazil

This stone has a problem (see below), but still offers a lot of sparkle in this custom combination-cut gem. The color is light saturation, with a cut that features concave pavilion facets and a generous table. The result is a lively, sparkling gemstone. There is a veil that goes under the table and can be seen from some angles (I've shown this in the photos). The veil travels to one edge of the girdle, resulting in the unevenness in the round that would likely need to be addressed when setting. Because of these flaws, I'm offering at a reduced price. Amethyst is the birthstone for people born in the month of February. Big in size and ability to grab attention if you are willing to work with it.
