Detailed Condtion : No chips or cracks, a couple of tiny trim imperfections. Please read condition notes in listing!
This dinner plate is by Alfred Meakin in what I believe is the "Bleu de Roi" pattern. It is a white plate with a cobalt blue band around the rim. There are thin gold trim bands on either side of the cobalt band. The plate measures about 10" in diameter. The mark on the back is "Alfred Meakin England".
This plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The gold trim is almost completely intact. There is one tiny scratch in the inner gold trim band which can be seen at the 3 o'clock position in the first three photos above. There are a few other tiny under the glaze blemishes that look like they occurred during manufacture rather than being the result of use. Almost no utensil marks. Overall, this is a beautiful plate with few signs of use.
