Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1975 Gene Wilder Crime Comedy THE ADVENTURE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES’ SMARTER BROTHER, based on characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle and starring Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Dom DeLuise, Leo McKern, Roy Kinnear, John Le Mesurier, Douglas Wilmer and Thorley Walters.
The younger brother of the consulting detective tries to steal Sherlock's glory by solving an important case assisted by an eccentric Scotland Yard detective and a lovely but suspicious actress.
Poster art by John Alvin (1948 - 2008). An American cinematic artist and painter who illustrated many movie posters. Alvin created posters and key art for more than 135 films, beginning with the poster for Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles in 1974.
The poster is in very good folded condition with tiny holes at the cross folds and minor edge nicks.
