This kit is a set of three turret boards built on 2.5mm thick heavy duty British Paxolin sheet in dark brown, consisting of the main AB763 amplifier board, the small negative bias board and the capacitor filter board normally fitted in the "dog house" on top of the chassis. Please be aware that there is often a waiting list for our amplifier boards, which are hand built to order, and for a complex set such as this there may be a wait of several weeks after ordering before shipping.
We supply the capacitor board without pre-drilled mounting holes unless requested, to leave you free to drill holes to match with suitable existing mounting points in your amplifier chassis.
These boards do not use the 60's style thin double board sandwich and eyelet construction (prone to dirt and moisture ingress) but instead are fitted with sturdy turret lugs standing 8.4mm above the board, including all components shown and fully assembled with parts soldered into position ready to wire in to your chassis. Note that this is NOT a complete amplifier kit and you will need both power and output transformers as well as the valve set, chassis, front panel components and various chassis mount parts, wires etc to build an amplifier. Note that this AB763 board can be used in several Fender model types and some component values differ between models so when ordering please add a note to indicate which amp you are building, particularly for the Deluxe Reverb with 2 x 6V6 output valves where a number of component values are different. |
