I. A COLOSSAL ELEPHANT.
In the year 1758 a French engineer, named Ribart, designed a grand kiosque, in the form Of a gigantic elephant, to the glory of King Louis X V. , intending to place it in the middle Of the Champs Elysées or on the hill which terminates the view of the Tuileries

A MOVING HOUSE
The lease of the ground on which a house in New Vork was built having expired, the proprietor decided to remove the house to another piece of ground..

THE OCEAN TRICYCLE.
The ocean tricycle consists. Of three large pneumatic wheels supporting a low platform,a considerable distance above which is another platform, on which the passengers are protected from the waves. The propelling engine is also placed on the top platform. The cycle when travelling does not roll or pitch like a steamer, but allows its passengers to enjoy themselves without the fear of sea-sickness.

A STEAM MAN.
This extraordinary invention is due to
Mr. George Moore, a Canadian Of English
