Published Luton: Lennard Publishing, 1988, 1st edition. 160 pages. 10½ x 8 inches. Colour and b/w illustrations. Although sometimes criticized because the location of the signs is not always given, it is still essential for the inn sign library. The author is an American of Irish descent who has had a pint in over 2,100 pubs Has a chapter about pub sign painters of the 18th/19th centuries, and a bibliography. Book is in very good condition but there is some minor creasing and chipping to dust wrapper.
