About the Author:
Judy Lindahi is a free-lance home economist residing in Portland, Oregon. She was graduated from Washington State University with honors and received her B.S. in Home Economics Education. After graduation she taught home economics in Beaverton, Oregon for several years before leaving to join the educational staff at Simplicity Pattern Company, lnc of New York. As an educational fashion stylist Judy traveled the country presenting programs in schools and for 4-H, extension, and consumer groups for five and a half years. In 1973 she created a program of ideas and inspiration for do-it-yourself decorators which she has presented across the country and in Canada. She is the author and publisher of Decorating with Fabric/ An Idea Book (paperback) which grew out of the programs, and Decorating with Fabric, a hardback for Butterick Publishing. Judy has also done writing, television, and demonstration work for Fieldcrest sheets. Currently Judy teaches and travels on a free lance basis. She is married and the mother of two daughters and has been featured in Outstanding Young Women of America and Personalities of the West and Midwest
