Avonlea: Anne's House of Dreams 1917 First Edition

This is a First Edition copy of Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery, dated 1917.  It was published by the A.L. Burt Company, New York, and copyrighted in 1917 by the Frederick A Stokes Company.

There is very minor shelf wear to the exterior.  The full-page glued-on paper color illustration on the cover is slightly faded.  Part of the Avonlea series.  In this book Anne learns to love her new life as the wife of her one true love, Dr. Gilbert Blythe, living in the white cottage on the harbor shore.  192 pages. 

Anne's own true love, Gilbert Blythe, is finally a doctor, and in the sunshine of the old orchard, among their dearest friends, they are about to speak their vows. Soon the happy couple will be bound for a new life together and their own dream house, on the misty purple shores of Four Winds Harbor. A new life means fresh problems to solve fresh surprises.
