Offered is the movie tie-in for Armstrong's award winning (1970 Newbury Award) young adult novel "Sounder" which was first published in 1969. The movie was released in 1972. This edition features, asides from the cover, scenes from the movie. The condition of the book is a bit rough with evident edge wear on the covers, creasing, scuffing, and more pronounced edge wear along the spine. The former owner's name is on the inside first page and on the outside of the book's top and bottom. Interior pages have browned and a good many pages have "dog ears" on them. The pages with the movie scenes are still crisp white due to the better quality paper.
