DIY Power Bank?
It's easy to purchase Power Bank, not easy to find realiable one, so what if... You build Your own Power Bank?
This item could be ideal for someone who is enjoying home electronics, DIY projects etc.
My story:
I had many Power Banks in my life. Most with unreliable batteries or power draining electronics unfortunately. The idea came when I was sitting in my chair, watching
spare reliable smart phone battery and thinking what extra can I do with it... Original genuine smart phone batteries are safe to use,
most genuine batteries have electronic micro circuits which works as a protection, so what if I use my reliable battery to build my own Power Bank?
I know what capacity it can store so it would be very reliable on my trips.
This is good, eco idea, I think, to give that second life for spare battery which I know is keeping charge good... so this way came my idea,
to do research regarding parts and build power bank instead of buying another one with unknown nature battery.
My target:
It must have display screen, nice to know "%" of my battery, but not big LCD screen as it must save power for me.
It must have solar built in, once solar saved me on holiday trip, solar is very small, it gives only up to 100mA in sun, so it takes about
two days to charge up completly, but I managed to make that short single
phone call within 30mins to arrange something, so... it's a "must have".
It must be not so bulky, slim, it must be easy to carry while on trip just with backpack when space and weight is important.
It must have 2x USB to share with my friend.
So I would like to introduce pictured DIY kit.
Please note: if You're looking for sparkling, cosmetically nice designed Power Bank, then please buy some complete Power Bank.
This is DIY kit where main factors are: electronics and how it works, secondly cosmetical design. This kit needs a lot of work to built up
Power Bank, so is it worth? Definitely was for me, but it may be not worth at all for You., everyone is different, with different needs, so
it could be good fun, or wrong purchase, so please think first if this DIY kit is good option for You.
This DIY kit comes without any instructions.
B+ and B- is for soldering Your battery, T+ and T- is for soldering solar panel
TIPS:
- I installed (soldered) 3000mAh slim battery taken from Alcatel Smart Phone (soldered battery terminals in to mainboard terminals)
- This Power Bank after assembling is close to impossible to open again without making any damage, so I have done assembly my own way
by snapping internal plastic clips, cutting sides of external plastics to make easy access and used some screws (screws not in set unfortunately,
as this is designed to glue it originally)
- not used black/red wire from the set, but my own very long wires, this way I can slide out tray in full without any problems
- oh, before sliding out tray, solar plate need to be removed, I have used just tiny bit of double sided stickers for easy way to remove it in the future.
As You can see by this description this is with positive and negative points, I fully enjoyed it, but You may not as everyone is different.

International shipping
International orders:
over the years from time to time "system" displays incorrect delivery "estimated".
My REAL delivery time is between 10 and 40days for my International Economy default postal method,
if would you like to speed it up,
please change it to (unfortunately more expensive) Tracked delivery method while on checkout. Somehow as of today is displaying
"Estimated delivery date shown to buyer" for a lot less days than real life economy figures verified,
please bear in mind word "Estimated", real figures unfortunately are on far later date than estimated in the "system".
I do respect your time so please respect this 10-40days real delivery time for Economy post, and not platform "estimated",
which many times is wrongly displayed like under this example.
EU orders: for EU orders where collected import VAT I'll mark packages with IOSS Marketplace stickers and I'll use foil sleeves to enclose documents outside package along with CN22 form to prevent situations where my EU customer could be charged import VAT twice. I recommend to upgrade for tracked postage while at checkout.
items send to Germany: I comply with German recycling regulations, I obtained DE Lucid number which will be declared.

I do my best to mark packages correctly, however customer who purchase item from abroad can be still charged for some fees, I cannot guarantee it, please kindly check your local law in your country regarding receiving items from abroad. Please bear in mind that.
