Additional descriptive notes (if applicable): the full text on the back of the postcard reads: R.M.S. Aquitania and Wembley Stadium. The Aquitania had been launched in 1914. She was the largest Liner afloat at the time. After serving as a hospital and a troop ship she returned to passenger service in 1919. Wembley stadium had been built as a permanent feature of the British Empire Exhibition of 1924/5 and together they symbolised hope for the future after the terrible eventns of the Great War and its aftermath.
