78 RPM RECORD GRADING
This record was visually examined and played through with no skips or repeats. Any chips or other damage is noted in the description. I am not a expert on 78 RPM records and I tried to be conservative in grading.
N- (Nearly Mint Plus) Condition. Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.
E+ (Excellent Plus) Condition. Plays like new. Very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.
E (Excellent) Condition. Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E- (Excellent Minus) Condition. Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, has a few light audible scratches.
V+ (Very Good Plus) Condition. Scuffs and use have dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
V (Very Good) Condition. Moderate, even wear throughout. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
V- (Very Good Minus) Condition. Music remains loud. Surface noise and scratches.
G+ (Good Plus) Condition. Surface noise throughout but music is audible. Heavy scratches.
G (Good) Condition. Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is higher than surface noise.
G- (Good Minus) Condition. Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage extensive.
F (Fair) Condition. Most of the music remains audible over surface noise, but listening is uncomfortable.
