Caline's CP-40 Acoustic Preamp and DI Box is a useful gadget for acoustic players playing in live situations. Takes an input from your guitar and can either go out to regular line level or balanced XLR output for plugging direct. Has EQ and Level control switch for presets and live adjustment. Another switch activates a Anti-Feedback function that helps with that all too common annoyance in live room interactions.
Perfect for recording acoustic guitar with just enough features to make necessary adjustments to your tone with the mini EQ / Boost. The XLR input and anti feedback make recording much easier. Also The input clip light is a great tool for displaying when the tone is clipping and will record as distorted. Ideally this light shouldn't be flashing much / at all during recording.A further boost bottom end is achievable using the treble boost.
Includes nifty 9V battery clip cable if you want to go off batter power instead.
Some Tips:
- When using this D.I. Box, you must use the INPUT knob of this D.I. Box in order to avoid overloading your acoustic guitar E.Q. If overload occurs, please reduce the volume.
2.Turn on the ANTI FEEDBACK Foot switch, and adjust the ANTI FEEDBACK Knob to avoid volume feedback.
3.Turn on TREBLE BOOST Foot switch, to increase the brightness of the tone.
Dial in your best sound and tweak to taste!
