Detailed Condtion : As per photos...
Set of 4 pieces from Andamooka Opal Fields in South Australia.
When this type of rock was found with a vein of Opal running through it, then just like Queensland Boulder Opal, they used to be split nicely into two pieces as the rock is far much harder than the Opal.
The result then would be that a film of Opal would be found on each of the split open rocks.
Those type of rocks with Opal would be described as "Painted Ladies".
These particular pieces are more complex in that they have Opal running in all directions.
I can't recall having seen something quite like these before and could be a collector's item.
